IAS officer Sanjay Dixit has been elected as the new president of Rajasthan Cricket Association in Jaipur beating its former president Lalit Modi by five votes, Lalit Modi got 13 while Sanjay Dixit got 18 votes. The election was preceded by various controversies and lobbying. Lalit Modi accepting his defeat said that he lost due his proximity to former CM Vasundhara Raje.Sanjay Dixit who is also presently SECRETARY TO GOVERNMENT, HORTICULTURE DEPARTMENT, RAJSATHAN in his first speech says that his first priority is to curb corruption in RCAMonday, March 2, 2009

SHRI H C Meena assumes the office of DGP Rajasthan

1976 batch IPS officer Mr Harish Chandra Meena assumed the office of DGP (DIRECTOR GENERAL AND INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE), RAJASTHAN. He was earlier posted as DIRECTOR GENERAL, HOME GAURD AND CIVIL DEFENCE, RAJASTHAN. He had been SP of various districts of Rajasthan like Jalore, Jhalawar, Pali, Barmer and Banswara. He was also IGP of CRPF. He was also awarded the 1996 Indian Police Medal and 2002 President Medal. On the occasion he get the guard of honuor and later on he inspects the parade.

Smt Kushal Singh became first Women Chief Secreatry of Rajasthan
1974 batch IAS officer become the chief secretary of Rajasthan upto now she was CHAIRMAN, BORAD OF REVENUE, RAJASTHAN, AJMER. Born on 11th Oct 1949 in Rohtak district of Haryana, she will be first women to be appointed for the most coveted post in the state, she has wide experience at her disposal in various post in state and centre accompanied by a special training in England. This may be an attempt by the Ashok Gehlot government to woo a particular community ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Singh replaces D C Samant, who on Friday took over as the chairman of State Electricity Regulatory Commission. Rakesh Hooja would now takes her place as the chairperson of Board of Revenue, Ajmer, the post she held since September 29, 2007. Prior to that, Singh was on long leave from November 2006 to June 2007 and then remained on awaiting posting order' (APO) for nearly three months. Singh had also been on APO thrice earlier, with the maximum duration being 28 days.
